김혜인은 현대사회를 살아가며 다양한 역할을 요구 받는 현대인의 모습을 표현한다. 먼저 눈을 감고 손이 가는 대로 자유롭게 무의식 속에 축적된 현대인들의 모습을 드로잉하고, 그 다음 평면 위에 조형물들을 배치하는 방식을 통해 여러 관계로 복잡하게 얽혀 있는 인간의 모습을 형상화한다.
배치된 조형물들은 각기 다른 물성을 지닌 오브제 덩어리로, 개인의 정체성 혹은 멀티페르소나를 의미한다. 인간의 본성적 메커니즘에 의해 필수불가결적으로 형성된 페르소나의 존재를 단지 가면이 아닌, 다면화를 요구하는 사회에 순응하며 자신의 다양한 사회적 정체성으로 발전시켜 나갈 수 있는 긍정적 요소로 바라본다.
Kim Hyein expresses the appearance of modern people who live in modern society and are required to play various roles. First, close your eyes and draw the images of modern people accumulated in unconsciousness freely as your hands go, and then place sculptures on the plane to shape human beings entangled by various complicated relationships.
The sculptures that are arranged and the lumps of objects with different physical properties represent individual identity or multi-persona. We view the existence of a persona indispensablely formed by human nature mechanisms as a positive factor. This can develop into an individual’s various social identities, adapting to a society that requires multifacetedness, not just a mask.
