creature, 길들여진 사람은 존재의 의미와 자아 정체감을 스스로 성취 할 수 있는가?
내면의 악함은 어디서 비롯되며 내면의 선함은 무엇으로 인하여 판단해야 하는 것일까.
인간은 각자 선과 악을 내포하고 있지만, 역할을 통해서 행동이 결정되는 것일 뿐, 인간의 존재 자체를 탓할 수 없다. 사회의 개념에는 원칙이 존재한다. 원칙은 유동적으로 변하며, 새로운 원칙들을 유지하기 위해 규정과 표준이 정립된다.
사회가 만들어낸 기계적인 장치 같은 시스템 속에서 말살되는 개인의 모습을 풍자지만, 교훈적인 메시지를 직접적으로 전달하려는 작업이 아니다. 작업은 연속적이고 유동적인 가치관에 대한 질문을 던진다. “진흙 없는 호수를 본 적이 있는가?”
우리는 언제, 어디서, 어떻게 우리의 자아 정체성을 발견하고 성취할 수 있는가.
인간은 교육한다. 교육은 곧 인간이 만든 원칙이며, 원칙은 사회에 포함 되어 있다.
사회 속에서의 분위기는 언제 어디서든 유동적으로 변하고 유지되며 존재한다. 사회의 분위기 속에 새로운 문화가 탄생하며 문화를 유지하기 위해 규정과 표준이 정립된다.
피조물은 만들어진 누군가의 원칙 속에서 교육을 받고 자란다. “우리는 누구의 피조물인가?”
아이의 시선은 자유로우면서도 정직하다. 그러기에 당당하고 그렇기에 꾸밈이 없다.
제제 작가의 작품은 유쾌한 은유 속에 실존이 존재한다. 그의 작품은 철저한 자신에 관한 표상이고 투쟁이다. 그는 작품을 통해 사회현상에 관해 물음을 던진다. 그의 과정 하나하나가 작품과의 팽팽한 긴장감을 유지하며 실재와 실재하지 않는 틈에서 자신만의 세계를 시니컬한 동심의 모습으로 탄생하고 있다.
작가는 사회현상에 관하여 그만의 방식으로 명료한 중간자의 입장을 취한다. 적극적인 사회에 메시지를 보내되 표상으로 나타나는 결과물에서는 다양한 가능성을 내포한 은유의 입장을 취하고 있는데, 이러한 결과물은 그가 던지는 메시지와 상반되게 무척 밝고도 유쾌한 반전을 이룬다.

Can a domesticated human truly achieve a sense of existence and self-identity on their own?
Where does inner evil originate, and by what standard should inner goodness be judged?
Human beings inherently contain both good and evil. It is not existence itself that determines behavior, but the roles imposed upon individuals. Therefore, humanity itself cannot be blamed.
Society is built upon principles. These principles are fluid and constantly changing, and in order to sustain newly formed principles, rules and standards are established.
This body of work is not intended to deliver a direct moral lesson, although it satirizes the image of individuals being erased within mechanical, system-like structures created by society. Rather, the work poses questions about continuous and shifting values.
“Have you ever seen a lake without mud?”
When, where, and how do we discover and fulfill our own identity?
Humans educate. Education is a principle created by humans, and principles are embedded within society.
The atmosphere of society exists everywhere, constantly shifting yet continuously maintained. Within this social atmosphere, new cultures are born, and in order to preserve culture, rules and standards are once again established.
A creature is raised and educated within principles created by someone else.
